The digital archive of Qalam articles is constructed by collecting its whole volumes, digitalizing the contents, Romanizing the Jawi script (The Arabic alphabets used by Islamic languages, including Malay) the articles and developing a new searching system based on ontology for improving convenience for readers to access to the contents.
By digitizing, transcripting and uploading the materials and installing a cross-search system, we can use the data of the uploaded periodicals online at each institution in the manner of accessing a complete set of a certain periodical.
